WELCOME

     Welcome to a new school year at Sunnymead Elementary School.  The year promises to be exciting and challenging for our Sunnymead students.  We anticipate that it will be a year full of rewards for us all as we watch our students achieve the highest level of academic excellence as they grow socially and emotionally.  Our staff is proud of our school and confident that this year holds great promise of success for students, parents, and staff.

   Your child’s achievement is of paramount importance to the staff here at Sunnymead.  Our staff has been working hard to prepare for the new school year.  We believe in working together with parents to ensure a positive learning experience for our students.  Open communication is vital to this process. 

      Parent participation is another important element in our home-school partnership.  We welcome your attendance at our scheduled events.  Notification of these events will be via school newsletters, flyers, and/or bulletins.  Please feel free to join us as often as your schedule permits.  Parent/teacher conferences benefit both home and school in providing help and understanding for the child.  Other opportunities for parent involvement include Booster Club, School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Committee, and classroom volunteering.
